congressional approval of money to keep the federal government going when the new fiscal year starts on october 1st. after midnight this morning, the house approved a temporary measure that would supply the money for government operations until november 18th. it goes before the senate for consideration today, but majority leader harry reid said that it would be rejected. now, live senate coverage on c-span2.
